A deck of cards inspired by the Bauhaus School of Design
The design of this deck of cards was inspired by The Bauhaus, a German art school founded in the 1920s that was characterized by the statement of “Form Follows Function”. These cards capitalize on this perception of design through the combination of geometric forms and linear elements to establish a minimalist system that carefully distinguishes each card. The cards are intended to be simple and functional, rather than the ornamental and embellished cards that people are more accustomed to.
The system also employs the signature primary colors often seen in the Bauhaus work to classify the suit of each card, and are unified on the back to construct a pattern of the letter “B” in various combinations.
